Nurture and Grow Your Faith

Holy Cross Lutheran Indianapolis presents our next all-church journey, Meeting Jesus through the Gospel of John. For 10 weeks, we will be intricately dissecting Jesus’ life on earth and how this message lives out in our lives both as individuals and as the body of Christ!

All are invited to join us. The Gospel of John will be the central focal point in our live worship services, daily studies, small group studies, and more. Not only will you meet Jesus, but you will also meet different members of the congregation and hear their faith stories throughout the three-month span.

Small Groups

Groups will meet virtually using the Meeting Jesus Through the Gospel of John study. It is important to be in the word meeting Jesus daily and also meeting him with others. Email Brandon Grelle to get connected to a group.

Uncontainable (Connect, Nurture, Serve)

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love (agape) me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love (fileo) you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” 16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love...

Now Serving Breakfast

John 21:1-14 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee.[a] It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (also known as Didymus[b]), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. 3 “I’m going out...

Oh, My God!

24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were,...

Keeping A Promise

19On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"  20After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were...

Come In, We’re Open!

1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the...

Gone For The Weekend

38Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jews. With Pilate's permission, he came and took the body away.  39He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited...

Paid In Full

28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’...

Good To The Last Drop

17Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).  18Here they crucified him, and with him two others--one on each side and Jesus in the middle.  19Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read:...

The Struggle Is Real

1 Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged.  2 The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe 3and went up to him again and again, saying, "Hail, king of the Jews!"  And they struck him in the face.  4 Once...

What Is Truth?

28 Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. 29 So Pilate came out to them...

We’ve Never Met

25 Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself. So they asked him, “You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it, saying, “I am not.” 26 One of the high priest’s servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, challenged...

One Wrong Word

19 Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching. 20 “I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus replied. “I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. 21 Why question me?...
