Thoughts for the New Year from Pastor McClean

For me personally, and for us as a church, 2019 was quite a year. From the meaningful, rejuvenating time of my sabbatical, to our school growing to over 400 students, to bringing on a new Children’s and Family Ministry Director, Hannah Lang, and finally, celebrating together as we said, “Thank You” to Pastor Sattler, God has been at work!

We are looking forward to growing and developing ways of connecting the Sunday Sermon to parents and children to build a foundation of faith in our homes, and also connecting people in Small Groups. We will all be pitching in and using the incredible giftedness of each one of us to build a Gospel-centered and grace-filled church.

We are expanding our Care Ministry in January by adding a Visitation Team to our Comfort Dog Ministry, Stephen Ministry, and Counselor on staff, Paulette Carson, providing counseling services when times get challenging.

Continue to keep our Call Committee and the Call process in your prayers as God is at work to direct us to a Lead Pastor who can continue to “Guide Us to Follow Where God is Leading Us.”

I see God at work, and I want to say, “Thank You,” to many members and families who have increased their pledges for 2020. Together we are building a “Church after God’s Own Heart!”

Happy New Year!
Pastor David McClean
